The Father's Voice - The Voice of God

Published: May 24, 2026

Have you ever found yourself alone at night, lying in your bed, needing someone to talk to? I have something to tell you: Jesus is right there with you. More than that, He wants to talk to you.

Think of this: on the cross, you were His thought. While He bled at the hands of the Romans, you were on His mind. In the midst of horrible pain, He thought of you. But how often do we simply ignore Him?

The Father is perfect, and the only way we could ever get to Him is through Jesus' death on the cross. How often do we think about the fact that God could've simply ignored us in the garden?

Think back to Eden.

How much easier would it have been for God to just leave humanity in the dust?

But He didn't.

Yet often, we spend whole days without even thinking of our best friend.

God WANTS to speak to us.

You won't always be right. Sometimes God will correct you, and that might make you forget that He loves you.

Take Jeremiah 1 for example.

In verse 4, God told Jeremiah that He planned to make him a prophet. Jeremiah immediately argued with God and told Him that he wasn't old or wise enough.

But God called Jeremiah from the womb.

God told Jeremiah that his age wasn't an excuse, and He told him that He would always be with him.

Then, He gave Jeremiah two visions. After the first vision, God reassured Jeremiah and told him he had seen correctly.

God wants to talk to you, but we are often afraid to listen.

We love talking at God, but we hate listening to God because of what we think He will reveal about our hearts.

God will always be there for you.

He wants to have a relationship with you.

It's just part of who He is.

Often, though, we miss it because we fear that all God does is punish.

If we were perfect, God would never have to discipline us.

But because He can't bear to see His children fall, He corrects us and leads us back to the path of life.

Don't miss God's voice just because you fear punishment.

By locking out the voice of God because of fear, you might miss out on the love God wants to give you.

God corrects out of love.
