Praying for a Miracle

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”, Ephesians 6:11

Notice how that verse says that our struggle is with the devil.

Let's look at that.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”, Ephesians 6:12

Our battles are against demons and forces of evil in the spiritual realms.

There is a cool example of this in Luke.

“He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven…”, Luke 10:18

And I saw satan topple from heaven like lightning.

Wow.

This was when the 70 returned from ministering to the people.

Imagine the power that God gave them, that he didn’t have them fight against humans, but against demons.

That same power that He gave to the disciples, he gives to us.

“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father…”, John 14:12

Jesus fed five thousand people with five loaves of bread and a few fish.

And He says that we will do even greater miracles through Him.

Even Greater.

And yet we don’t walk in them.

We don’t even try.

I have a question.

When was the last time you prayed for a miracle?

Was it yesterday?

Was it a week ago?

Was it a year ago?

But here’s the more thought provoking question,

Why?

Why haven’t you been praying for a miracle?

Are you afraid that a miracle might happen?

That’s a risk you should be willing to take.
